I had a little trouble thinking of an image to put on the appetizers page for my friend's recipe album. I decided to use sketch #6 from Card Positioning Systems, using some of my scraps from the previous pages instead. The font is from A Child's Year and the flourish under it is from Gypsy Wanderings.

Soups page
This is the latest installment in the set of divider pages I'm making for my friend's recipe album. The layout is based on a sketch from Pamela's World of Scrap. The bowl and spoon image is from the From My Kitchen cartridge. Although hard to see in the picture, the background behind the bowl and spoon was run through the Scalloped Dots embossing folder by The Paper Studio. The word "soups" is from A Child's Year (I welded the letters with my Gypsy) and the tag behind the word is from Gypsy Wanderings.

You can BEAT this!
A recently retired coworker is in need of some cheer. She was thought to have an aggressive form of lymphoma. The doctors now say that is not what it is, but they are not sure what she does have. The staff where I work has created a calendar where we each signed up for a day to send her a card so she can keep receiving them over a period of time rather than all at once. Tomorrow is my day and this is the card I created for her:
The mixer is from From my Kitchen. The shape behind it is from Gypsy Wanderings. I embossed it with the Cuttlebug folder Spots and Dots.

Happy birthday to Ewe
My sister's birthday is approaching and she used to love lambs (or "woolies" as she called them) when she was younger, so I decided to incorporate one into her card. I made a few extras also to add to my stash.
Here are the details:
sketch--Skipping Stones Design
diamond--Gypsy Wanderings
sheep--From My Kitchen
embossing--Spots and Dots (background), Swiss Dots (on diamond), D'Vine Swirls (sheep)
sentiment--printed from my computer
This card will be entered into the following challenges:
Skipping Stones Design--sketch challenge #121
Fantabulous Cricut--#104 Out like a lamb
Carson's Creations--embossing blog hop; I didn't try any new techniques here, but did use 3 different Cuttlebug folders
Creative Time for Me--Throwback Thursday; any cartridge, any project
Tuesday Throwdown#91: Outside the box; Have part of your image go outside the frame (I made the sheep a bit larger than the diamond he is mounted on.)

Fleece Navidad!
My husband and I have many bilingual friends. Ever since I saw a card with the sentiment "Fleece Navidad" this summer on Under a Cherry Tree I knew I wanted to use it on some Christmas cards. I was also inspired by the sketch at Skipping Stones Design and Craft Spot by Kimberly encouraged me to make it a window card--my first!
The circle is from Graphically Speaking. The scalloped circle is from Gypsy Wanderings. The sheep is from Animal Kingdom. I would have loved to have used a Peachy Keen face but the set I have that goes with this cart requires you to cut the sheep at 3" and that wasn't going to work with this sketch. I ran the white parts of the sheep through the D'Vine Swirls Cuttlebug folder and the front of the card through Swiss Dots. I used some of my new metal accents for my i-rock. I was a little disappointed at how glue oozed out from under these accents. I haven't had that problem with the i-rock gems.
This card will be entered in the following challenges:

December anniversary card
My in-laws' anniversary is coming up soon. I based this card on the sketch at Skipping Stones Design. The hearts and the tag are from Gypsy Wanderings. The sentiment stamp was a lucky find in a clearance bin at a small town stamp shop this summer.

One of a kind
Last year I started my Christmas cards in the summer. This year, I'm starting in November. I used the sketch from Skipping Stones Design. The sentiment is also from one of their stamps. The tag that it is on is from Gypsy Wanderings. In keeping with the sentiment, I wanted 3 different snowflakes. The ones I chose were from Accent Essentials, Graphically Speaking, and the Christmas Solutions cart. I put an iRock gem in the center of each snowflake. The dark blue background was run through the Cuttlebug Snowflakes folder.
This sentiment makes the card rather versatile. I could use it for a Christmas card or a thank you card for a gift or someone who's done a kind deed, such as a neighbor who snowblows your driveway for you.
This card will be entered in the following challenges:
Skipping Stones Design--sketch #100

Music note birthday card
My husband's birthday is in one month and he is a musician, so the challenge at M.A.G. Challenge by the Page, using the music note from Gypsy Wanderings, was perfect for a card for him.
The only cartridge used was Gypsy Wanderings. I ran the burgundy paper through the Happy Birthday Cuttlebug folder. The black tag under the music note was run through the Swiss Dots folder.

Nice to "sea" you
My husband and I visited his cousin shortly after Christmas and he took us out to eat at an awesome seafood restaurant. I made this card for him and his family as a thank you.
The crab is from Create a Critter. I created the black tag using a circle and two rounded rectangles from Gypsy Wanderings.

Snowman Soup
I wanted to give a little something to some of my coworkers. I first saw a Snowman Soup project on The Happy Stamper's blog during a blog hop. There seem to be many versions all over the internet, so I don't know who the original author was. Here is my take on it:
The mug shape, snowflake, circle, and tag are all from Gypsy Wanderings. I welded two of the mugs together with my Gypsy to make the card. The snowman stamp was free from Peachy Keen when I placed an order this fall. Inside the card is the following poem, along with a packet of hot chocolate:
I put the cards in a bag with some Hershey Kisses, a few marshmallows, and a mini candy cane.

Was told that you've been good this year,
Always glad to hear it.
With freezing weather already here
You'll need to warm the spirit!
So, here's a little Snowman Soup
Complete with stirring stick.
Add hot water and sip it slow,
It's sure to do the trick! I put the cards in a bag with some Hershey Kisses, a few marshmallows, and a mini candy cane.

Teacher gift
I made this stationery set to give to a volunteer teacher. There are 8 cards in the box for her to use, and one that is for her telling her thanks for all her hard work. The box is a recipe box from the $1 bin at Michaels that I covered in paper. The idea for the box came from a video done by Momo. The flower on the card is from Gypsy Wanderings. The brown paper was run through the Cuttlebug Swiss Dots folder.

Thank you
Several of my coworkers got together last week and bought me a beautiful plant for the passing of my uncle. I knew that I wanted to make them some Thank You cards. Then my friend Nicole told me about the challenge at Mojo Monday. I had never made a card based on a sketch before, but I am quite pleased with how it turned out. I will also be entering this card in the challenge at Paper Issues, using scallops.
The brown scalloped rectangle is from Graphically Speaking. It was cut at 4.25x2 in.
The yellow rectangle is also from Graphically Speaking. It was cut at 3.75x1.5 in.
The blue shape that the sentiment is stamped on is from Calligraphy Collection. It was cut at 1.5x2.25in. I had to cut the image in half (This worked well since I was making several cards anyway and could use both halves.) and then trim the ends so they were flat and at 1.5 in.
The branch and flowers are from Gypsy Wanderings. The branch was cut at 4.25 width (linked to height). The flowers were at 2.10 width (linked to height). They are perhaps a bit big, but if they were smaller they would have been difficult to work with. I added a dot of glitter glue to the center of the flowers.
